OUR FAMILY FRIENDLY FARM
On the farm we have chickens, pigs, and Ruby Red Devon cattle and at certain times of the year we will have piglets and calves. Children are welcome to join Farmer Dan in the mornings on the animal round to collect the eggs and feed the pigs. Our free range eggs and locally reared bacon and sausages are available to purchase on site for the perfect breakfast.
The farm is ideally located as we are away from the hustle and bustle but only a short pleasant walk away from Hugh Town where you will find all the usual local amenities. On either side of Peninnis are some of the island’s best beaches, Porthcressa and Old Town beach and the harbour is only a 10 minute walk away. Bordering the farm is also the spectacular Peninnis Head with its signature lighthouse and stunning rock formations.
Guests have access to otherwise private areas on the farm that benefit from superb panoramic island and sea views. At this stunning spot, guests are welcome to have picnics and BBQ’s, play ball games and admire the spectacular sea views to Porthcressa and Samson as well as taking in the breath-taking sunsets. From here guests will be able to see the iconic Bishop Rock Lighthouse in the distance, the most south westerly point on the country.

A WARM FAMILY WELCOME
Peninnis is a small family run farm that Jill and Jon have been custodians of for many decades. Their son Dan has now taken on the day to day running of the farm with his wife Zenna and their young children. Both Dan and Zenna were born and brought up on the islands and will pop by on arrival to check all is well and be on hand during your stay for any queries.
